Many people dream of living “off gird” and being totally self sustainable but humans are social animals and the future may actually be in microgridding. You and and everyone you know may one day live in self contained homes, without having to move out to the wilderness.

Microgridding is a combination of solar panels, electric vehicles, heat pumps, and storage batteries. Energy is feed back into the home instead of going to the greater power grids. The idea is that everything that can be used by the system is used and reused before going any further down the line.

This is basically the sustainability dream of everyone so it’s not really new information but recent investigations have shown that with the availability of these technologies, the process of getting to that point is one that is becoming more and more accessible as the days go on.
