Plant More Trees – a simple solution to the complex issue of climate change

Easy way to combat climate change: Plant trees. That’s it. They act as carbon sinks, provide oxygen and are all around good guys. Adding more trees can have a positive outcome for our planet and although the coverage would vary from region to region, every area of the world could do with more.

We think of deforestation we think of the Amazon which is a huge problem but truthfully humans have been cutting down trees for years without replenishing them. Now is the time to put a more concentrated effort to trees. Urban areas would have less but there are lands that are not being used and could host some new forests.

New trees will pull carbon from the air as well provide natural shelters for struggling animal and insect populations. Humans could also benefit from the rise in green. Even leaving out land used for farming, there’s still plenty of space to put a few trees. It won’t solve the problem of climate change but it will help out greatly.
