Lua – the pot that communicates how your plant is doing

So you want to get into gardening but you want to take it slow and by the way, you’ve got more of a black thumb in that everything you try to grow dies. Well then check out Lua, the pot that turns your plant into a a pet.

People say that plants are like pets but that’s not really true. Plants are . . . plants. They won’t really let you know what they need by doing more than just dying on you which you may or may not notice. Lua uses sensors to measure the plant’s needs and then communicates that to you with an app as well as on the pot itself. Simple.

This might be an easy way to get used to keeping a plant. After all, once you get used to the care and feeding of one piece of flora, how hard can it be to get on track with more? You’ll have a sustainable garden on your property in no time. Currently being crowdfunded, you can get one Lua for $111.
