HempWood – move over trees, there’s a new material in town

The logging industry has been one that has been under some scrutiny for a long time but we need wood for all kinds of things in our lives. There’s a substitute on the horizon though. HempWood is the sustainable option for all your wood needs.

HempWood is made from hemp plant which can be used to make all kinds of things. It’s created through a process but the end result is similar enough to oak that it can be used for all the same things. You can build, carve, stain, whatever you want with it. Hemp grows quickly and cheaply making it an awesome option in the future.

It’s still a new industry and as such the price is high for what it is but the company is working on getting the price down to competitive levels by 2020. Is there anything hemp can’t be used for? So far, it looks like the answer is no.
