You can cut down your plastic use in a million different ways. One shop wants to give their customers another outlet by offering milk in reusable, glass bottles. Like a coffee machine where you bring your own cup only this is milk.

The shop, Siop Ellis Spar, is located in Wales. This isn’t a new concept. There are people still alive who can remember having milk delivered to their homes (returning your bottle was a big part of that) and there are small, local farms and markets in some areas that offer similar options.

It’s a fairly simple system that seems like it would be easy to adapt for a variety of locations and a pretty solid plan for those who use a lot of milk and shop locally. Check out your local markets and farms and see if anyone is offering the same deal.
