How Many Fires Did We Have? – check out this cool visual that maps the world’s fires

There were some big fires this year most notably the Amazon fires but as a whole, there have been quite a few large fires all over the world and as climate change ramps out, we’re only likely to see even more of them. Check out this video to see how many fires we’ve actually had this year.

The visual was compiled and created by Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service and it depicts how the fires have appeared around the world. Although some locations remain fire free, others seem to almost never not be on fire.

Wildfires are something that have always happened around the world, this is true and even this year was a pretty average year for the amount of fires, world wide. Still, for some areas the severity of the fires increased and some blazes were far above what is normally seen. Check out the video below.
