Soundshirt – the wearable that lets you feel the music

Music is really a beautiful thing and with the Soundshirt everyone can enjoy it in their own way. This futuristic wearable lets people feel music. Like braille but for sound.

The shirt has 30 micro-actuaters embedded in the fabric and they translate sound into pressure in real time. This allows the sound to be felt all along the arms and the torso of the wearer with each sound causing a different reaction in the sensors.

This makes every song it’s own unique experience and allows people to access the art. It’s a very cool project and an awesome use of technology but it’s also quite expensive with a projected price range from £3,000 to 11,000.
