City Trees – the walls of moss that want to clean the air

Trees are important in turning the tide on climate change but you can’t plant them everywhere. Specifically you are limited in what you can plant in an urban environment given all of the buildings and asphalts and what not. Enter City Trees, the towers of moss that want to clean the air up.

These are more like walls. Walls with panels of moss on them that work like trees would and can allegedly clean as much air as 275 actual trees while taking up a fraction of the space. Which is very attractive for cities.

The devices, which come with an attractive bench, are all self sustaining. They come with an irrigation and energy system to keep them going in a variety of weather types. They will also help cool the surrounding air which is nice for people sitting on the bench. A very cool development that has popped up with a few locations in London.
