Birds and the Climate Crisis – as the Earth warms, birds are going through some changes

The climate crisis is really hard on birds. Our feathered friends are going through a lot of, not so great, changes as the climate changes giving us a real life example of how this is effecting the world at large. Changes in migration patterns, size, and just disappearance is painting a bleak picture for the future.

Although there haven’t been direct studies as to the link between birds and the climate crisis, it’s clear that they’re effected heavily by it. The black throated blue warbler is a songbird that has been changing it’s migration patters for the last fifty years. Other birds are far lighter than they have been in previous years.

The biggest shock of all is the drop in numbers of birds that has been reordered. More, direct studies need to be done in the area but there’s no denying that as the climate crisis goes on, we’re seeing a direct change in our bird life.
