If you don’t live under a rock then you’ve heard of COVID-19 and perhaps are worried about what this upper respiratory illness means for you. There’s a lot of misinformation out there but this handy chart puts things into perspective.
The illness is pretty comparable to the flu (just the normal, regular flu) in terms of how infectious it is but it’s important to remember that far fewer people have died from it this year. If you are healthy and seek treatment, your chances of coming out if you contract it are good.
The best defense from it spreading are still washing your hands and for people to cover their mouths while coughing, preferably in their elbow. A lot of the news sounds scary, especially with talks of shut downs and the like but this isn’t the prelude to the Apocalypse.
