Stop Flushing Non-Toilet Paper – more blocked pipes as paper disappears from shelves

Please stop flushing things that aren’t toilet paper down the loo. Seriously, it’s a bad idea. People flushing non-toilet paper items like paper towels and tissues are causing huge backups in the sewage systems all over the place.

We’ve talked about this before when discussing flush-able wipes. Spoiler alert! They’re not actually flush-able. Do not flush them. Or anything that isn’t toilet paper, seriously. Other products are getting stuck in the pipes and causing huge, very gross blockages.

Toilet paper has been on a premium and you may have trouble finding it. If that is the case and you have to use something else to wipe, throw it in the trash, not the toilet. Other options are to install a bidet or to use cloth and wash them.
