Self Isolate To Save ICU Beds – this practice for mildly sick people could keep hospitals from being overwhelmed

If you are sick, you should isolate yourself new study confirms. By making the choice to stay home, away from others, even if you are only showing A FEW symptoms, you’re helping to stop the spread of COVID-19 and potentially cutting down on how many ICU beds will be needed.

One of the reasons why we’re practicing physical distancing is to keep the hospitals from becoming overwhelmed with cases. There are not enough ICU beds for everyone who would need them which would cause many people to die. Most people who contract COVID-19 will not need hospital care and are perfectly safe to recoup at home.

If you are feeling ill, it’s more important than ever to stay home and self isolate, even if you would normally work through that sort of illness. Remember, it’s not just yourself that you have to be mindful of, it’s everyone.
