From the ‘I can’t really believe this’ dept. The Ferret reported on this fellow’s anti mosquito software system way back at the beginning of the year, and put it all down to a quirk of some bored Far Eastern geek mind.

But no, now we learn that Thai developer Saranyou Punyaratanabunbhu has only gone and updated it to make it repel cockroaches and rats. OK now, enough’s enough. Anyone can take a joke, but using your PC as a massive insect and rodent repellent just doesn’t make sense. Does it? Hasn’t anyone told the poor guy about Deet?
