eBussy – EV van car camper concept looks neat but implausible

So, another day, another EV. The latest in the flood of electric vehicle concepts is this eBussy. Not just a vehicle, mind you. More a work of art. It comes in modular form, which means it can be converted into various types of EV, ranging from a standard van, to a pick up to camper and so on. You get the picture. Ambitious right? Well so are the specs, price and delivery. It’s scheduled to have a starting price of around €15,800, and arrive sometime at the end of 2021. The tech specs also look a little ambitious, even if it is a German based operation.

Not only is it ‘solar powered’, but the materials list looks like a eco warrior’s dream. Quote: “The eBussy is built from materials such as natural fibres, composites, aluminium, steel, wood and recyclable plastics. The vehicle is therefore 98%-99% recyclable. This means that we can achieve that the eBussy is emission-free and “green” after less than 10,000 kilometres.” The starting price for modules to change configuration will be €800, and you’ll even be able to rent modules and batteries from their as yet unidentified dealer network. Yep, there’s no hype in this story. Anyway check out their FAQ for more details and check out the video below.
