While we’re checking out the future, here’s a useful look at the state of the DVD recorder market, and some pointers as to how it is likely to go over the next few months. Apparently we’re about to be hit by a wave of multi-standard drives which will cope with both DVD-RW (and -R) and DVD+RW (and +R).

I do wish that these folks would get on with it and settle down to a single standard. Too much greed!
