Electric Frog Max – probably the cheapest electric delivery van in the world

The Electric Frog Max (or ElektroFrosch Max to give its original name) is a tiny city EV delivery van hailing out of Berlin, Germany.  What makes it remarkable, apart from the fact that it’s German, is the ultra low price. Yes we’re talking about a mega slow, underpowered, rudimentary form of transportation, but at €4590 inc VAT, who cares?

The Max has a battery range of 120 km and a top speed of ‘my granny could run faster’, but who cares. Shall we mention the price again? And after all, which city nowadays has an average travel speed of more than 10 mph? Anyone? Yeah exactly. So 45 km/h doesn’t sound too bad then does it? There’s no MOT needed, you can drive it with a moped license and it costs a staggering 80 cents per 100 km to run. The payload is around 350 kgs, which is enough to carry quite a few bricks and barrels, and it comes with a heater, two seats and four wheels. Bargain. We’re not sure what the delivery time is, but it’s probably best if you click and collect to make sure it actually fits your body length.
