The Dry Ear.

Dryear

The Sahara Dry Ear. Well…believe this or not, it’s a drying device for…ahem…wet ears. Surprised? We were. Apparently towels or little bits of crinkly tissue paper twisted into a saggy strip and inserted willy nilly may not be enough for some lugholes. These special ears need a microchip controlled, rechargeable device which is blue. All we can say is that it sounds a bit weird. Sounds. Geddit? $99.99.

The airflow from this sophisticated device runs for about a minute at a comfortable temperature and dries the outer ear canal. The patented Sahara DryEar has a customized computer chip which directs a heater and fan to regulate the flow of warm air into the ear canal…The DryEar is equipped with a rechargeable lithium ion battery similar to those found in cell phones. With a full battery charge you will be able to run the Dry Ear over 50 times before needing to recharge the device.

  • I’ve had water stuck in my ear for over 2 days straight on more than one occasion. If I came across one of these some time during day 2 of one of those incidents, I would EASILY have paid over a hundred bucks for this thing.

  • Jeff, when I get the water stuck thing, it’s usually the old wax prob. Isn’t that normal? I tend to spend my time syringing the ear out with water, rather than drying it out. Ah well, the intricacies of the aural channels. :-)

  • I need to go at least once a year to the doctor and make a professional cleaning in my ears. In my case it is very easy to have water stuck in my ear and develop infections. I have already had infections. People who easily have water in their ears would easily pay for this device (if they have the money). :-)
If one swim, water in the ears can happen VERY frequently.
