Code 5 Bat Signal.

Code5

Code 5 Lone Worker Protection. Service lets you configure an emergency key on your mobile phone (usually the 5 key ) which you can press when you need help. At which point a two way comms link opens up between you and remote monitoring station personnel who can listen in and call emergency services if necessary. No prices given, although there’s a one off set up charge and a monthly monitoring fee. Not quite as glam as the Bat Signal though, is it?

Two-way voice communication • No long numbers to dial in an emergency • LBS location technology and, for smart phones, GPS • Complete SOS response centre back up 24/7 • Speed-access to emergency services via Orbis’ operators • Audio recordings for use as evidence in court proceedings • Management reports via the internet

  • remote monitoring station personnel who can listen to the muffled sounds of my wife’s handbag all day. Useful.

  • What’s wrong with just programming 911 to your ‘5’ key?
