Instant FM – USB radio recorder

The Instant FM USB Radio Recorder. Plug it into your USB port, tune it to your local FM or favourite web station and record stuff. Lots of stuff. Not only that, but this little doohickey will separate the tracks and identify songs using Snaptune. Then you can move it all onto your portable player. I can see this being pretty handy for Podcast fanatics somehow, although I’m not sure that it’s offering anything more than software only products like Station Ripper (which I see is now no longer freeware). Priced at $49.00.

Ever listen to the radio and wonder what the name of the song is? Who is the artist? What year was it released? Instant FM Music helps you answer all of those questions! Just plug Instant FM Music into your USB Port, tune to your favorite local FM or Web Radio stations and watch as Instant FM Music & the included software not only record the station’s entire playlist, but also separate and identify the songs for easy playback.

  • I don’t listen to FM radio, but I do listen to Satellite radio. Most, if not all, Satellite radio receivers also have a built-in FM transmitter, so it looks like this USB device could be useful if you want to easily record & save Satellite radio broadcasts onto your PC, and move to CD, MP3 player, etc…

  • Great idea if it was only some years ago…. Clear Channel here in America (which owns over 80% of the stations) has dumbed-down radio to the point where I don’t even listen to it anymore.
