  • I think this could be useful. PCs in the living room are becoming more common. If like me you have a media center you want to keep it quiet.
    Of course most people tend to fit it with quiet components, get it to a noise level they are happy with an leave it but this could offer a bit more flexibility.
    The fans are there for a reason though, to keep it cool. If you just whack it down to quiet all the time without monitoring the temperatures at all you could do some damage. You might be better off using some software like SpeedFan.
