Swivel is apparently a place where we can all ‘explore data’. What that means is we can all play with uploaded statistics and produce pretty coloured graphs and pie charts to show off to our friends and colleagues. It’s actually not a bad idea in this new ‘Web 2.0 do it all on the Web’ world, since it should make it easier for business groups to get together and share and compare their data in meaningful ways. We’re just not sure how many ordinary Joes are going to spend time uploading Excel spreadsheets just to distribute a pretty graph. Time will tell.
