MiniCat – the backpack sailing boat

MinicatMinicat2

The MiniCat is the perfect sailing craft for that spontaneous weekend away. Just sling it over your shoulder, toodle down to the nearest waterhole and bob around to your heart’s content, making pirate noises and fishing for your supper. Ah, if only life were that simple, though. Priced from an arm wrenching £2450.00.

Assembling the MiniCat is a doddle. Its smart design means that one person can assemble it, without tools, in around 30 minutes. And because the entire kit and caboodle weighs in at under 35kg, this brilliant boat in a bag can be carried right to the water’s edge. You can even put the bag on your back, rucksack style…Despite the whole portability angle the MiniCat is not some toytown boat for duck pond botherers. It’s a serious sailing boat with excellent handling characteristics that has been designed for budding yachtsmen and experienced sailors alike.

  • Have a look at it being assembled – 30 mins into 30 secs

  • Everyone knows that once something leaves its original factory packaging it will never go back in. ;)

  • …never mind trying to get the packaging open in the first place. :-)

  • Actually it does get back into it’s bag. With room to spare. They are very cool.
