Deezer. Every time a new site, service or program comes on to the scene offering mainstream music tracks it’s a sign that the music industry is coming to its senses. Oh it’s slow all right, but they’re getting there, inch by excruciating inch. Anyhoo, this is actually not new, it’s Blogmusik redone and streaming only, but hey, one more brick in the wall, right?
(And WalMart’s DRM free MP3 tracks are another sign that things are finally starting to change, eh?)
Ugh. Just tried this out. The UI looks beautiful but is awfully designed. Adding tracks requires selecting each one and then choosing the appropriate playlist. The song selection is also pretty dodgy. There are some major hits for lesser artists, but rarely a full album. I’ll pass.
