iPhotoMeasure – measure anything in a photo using your digital camera or phone cam

Iphotomeasure5

iPhotoMEASURE is a $99.99 software program that lets you measure anything in photos you take with your digital camera. You place a small 7.5” square (DigiTarget) in the shot when taking your photo which the program then uses to calculate the measurements you want. If it works as advertised, it could be one of the single most useful photo tools ever.

The company is marketing it as a professional product for garden designers, builders and anyone who has to deliver quotes for work involving measurements (getting the client to take the photos also saves a visit, see?) but it could just as easily work brilliantly for DIY folk and shoppers in general. You can use any camera or phone cam with a minimum of 1 megapixel (4 megapixels for longer distance shots) and the software deals with both metric and imperial measures. Very clever indeed. Available for Mac and PC.

What is the accuracy of your software? Our software can measure down to 1/32nd of an inch. However, there are several factors involved in getting the most accurate measurements possible. Please read the Quick Start Guide prior to using your software and follow the guidelines on how to take the photograph and then on how to load your photograph into the software….You can measure anything that is close like a wall, door, window, appliance, furniture.. inside your house or anything that is further like a gate, roof, pool, patio area… Once the picture is taken with the DigiTarget in it, you collect all the measurements you need and that you specify in iPhotoMEASURE.
