Sony Vaio AIO HDTV PC – slimline elegance meets designer tech

Sonyvaiohdtvpc

The new Vaio All-in-One HDTV PC looks like a home PC should. None of that pig ugly beige block and clunky, instead we are treated to a delightful slice of Sony style on a stick. 1680×1050 resolution, 2.2 GHz Core 2 Duo processor, Blu-Ray DVD, 500 GB hard drive and 2 GB of RAM. Yep, it’s a proper PC too, as well as a full on 22 inch HD Media Center television and PVR. Of course there’s a price to pay for all this glamour and it comes in the shape of a $2,899.00 price tag. Ah well.

Sony looked at what we’re doing with our TVs and PCs today and combined both functions into this beautiful all-in-one unit. Hang it on the kitchen wall and find out what your favorite TV chef will prepare on tonight’s show, download the recipes, then switch over to television in HD and cook as you watch. The display uses Sony’s XBRITE technology to give an incredible picture in full 1680 x 1050 resolution, while the PC’s Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 500G hard drive, and 2G of memory give you plenty of PC power. And there’s even a built-in Blu-ray DVD drive so you can watch or burn DVDs in almost any format.
