Motorboard 2000XR – nanotech batteries, computer controlled, this is not a scooter people, OK?

Motoboard2000xr

The Motorboard 2000XR is not a scooter, it’s an electric ‘Personal Transportation Device’. A la Segway perhaps? Twin motors, charges in under 2 hours, goes 15 mph and at a foldable 16.5 lbs it can be tucked under your arm for commuter train use. Hey and you can even use it as a standard kick scooter when the battery runs down (after around 5 miles). $799.00.

The 2000XR is not a toy. We don’t even like to call it a “scooter”. We call it a Motorboard. It is a serious transportation device with a top speed of 15mph, giving it the power and endurance necessary to get around in any urban environment. What’s even more incredible, is that the 2000XR can be easily folded up, and weighing only 16.5lbs, it is light enough to be carried on the subway, train, bus, or into work.

  • This 2000XR "made in China toy" is useless as a serious transport system.Whe it rain you are left in the loop as it cannot be used under wet weather condition. It perform poorly when on steep roads. The low profile rubber wheels causes very bumpy, uncomfortable and even dangerous ride on road surfaces that are uneven, port holes or crevices. Consumables eg. batteries and wheels are very expensive to replace. Overall an overpriced $800 plank on wheels- toy.

    • thanks very much for your honest openions on the "motorboard"; i too see the
glearing short comings of the scooter…..the overall concept is a good one, but
with a better drive system (non direct drive with much more power), and a MUCH
      better and larger wheel design.
