BT 100 Bluetooth Desktop Telephone – pair your mobile and your landline

Bluetoothdesktopphone

BT100 Bluetooth Desktop Telephone. Mmm…we must be missing something significant here, because we just can’t work out why you’d want to pair up your Bluetooth mobile phone with a desk phone. We can see how it might be useful hooked up to your PC for Skype calls etc, but cellular? It feels like someone in a dim-lit factory basement said, ‘I know, let’s shove some Bluetooth in it. That’ll sell well’. Yeah right! $199.00.

This is our new Bluetooth Desktop Phone BT100 that gives the mobile user total desktop flexibility. With this device you can: – pair up to two mobiles and/or one computer. – make phone calls through SKYPE, MSN or other softphones. – speak through a handset, headset and/or speakerphone. – use a numeric keypad with large numeric buttons. – import up to 500 contacts. – run the device on a built in battery.

  • Got to disagree with you on this one Red, this is a great idea. You leave your phone in your bag all day and it’s automagically connected to your desk phone and you can make and answer calls from the desk phone.

Isn’t that point or have I missed the boat?

I’m also partial to the “stick BT in it and it’ll sell” theory. I’m waiting for a bluetooth toothbrush, just cos having the word “tooth” twice in a sentence is novel.

  • Since I have a home office and my cell is my business number, it would be nice to use such a device for me, although not at that cost. For me, my cell plan is actually cheaper for most of my calls than the home phone that I forward it to. I’ve had substandard bluetooth connections with my vehicle’s nav system though so I don’t know how this phone would perform all around my home/home office.

  • OK, OK, out-numbered. Heh. I obviously need to get out more… :-)

  • if you like this one check them out http://www.handsfreecarkit.net they are coming out with a much better office bluetooth phone so i heard.

  • Best Deal Business Phone helps you with introducing to you the different landline companies their services and features. http://www.alphatalk.com/

  • The thing is in australia now,http://www.bluesim.com.au looks like its scored a few new fatures including music streaming via A2DP, no need to buy a iPOD dock.

  • This is exactly what I am looking for in a phone for my elderly Mom. Currently, she has a cell phone that she finds too small and complicated (she keeps turning off the ringer with every other call!). This allows her to have an old-school phone that she knows how to use instead of one with tiny buttons and 21st century features – she's from the 20th century and is comfortable there.
