Classic Nixie Tube Clock Kit – the right price for the right time

Classicnixieclock

This Classic Nixie Tube Clock Kit is remarkable not for its design so much as the price. A mere $169.95 buys you a classic form factor and a very cool desk ornament. Anachronistic it may be, but hey, eccentricity is the privilege of the wealthy and carefree eh? You can also buy either of the aluminium or teak wood models for $209.95 ready assembled.

Features six IN14 Nixie tubes mounted in a beautiful hand crafted Teak and Maple base. The base finish is hand rubbed varnish and linseed oil. The Hours, Minutes, and Seconds are separated by an NE2 Neon bulb matching the era of the clock. Advanced features include brightness control and auto-dim. From the two setting buttons you can increase or decrease the brightness of the Nixies from 0 (off) to 10 (full brightness). You can also set the clock to lower the brightness between two specified hours in the day (such as 08 to 17 when you are not home) to extend tube life or to customize your display for nighttime use.
