Aftershoks Mobile headset aims to keep you safe

When you’re out buying a headset or earbuds, a big selling point is how well they can cancel out sound. If you can still hear exterior sound, then chances are you’ll be moving along to your next option. However, we all know that not being able to hear exterior sounds can sometimes be extremely hazardous to us.

Being on the phone or listening to music while running, riding a bike, or even walking can sometimes be a danger if you can’t hear the warning sounds of the outside world. This is why the bone conduction technology of the Aftershoks Mobile headset is such a brilliant idea. Instead of being inside of your ear, it actually rests on your cheekbone, and sends stereophonic sounds through bone to your inner ear. This way, you can hear your music crystal clear, but aren’t drowning out the sounds around you. This may sound like an odd concept to us, but this $70 headset could potentially be a lifesaver. It can hook up to any smart phones that have a 3.5mm standard connector, and comes with a water resistant carrying case.
