Android & iOS Controlled Light Bulbs – make like a light ninja from the safety of your couch

Apparently the remote control of light bulbs is now a thing, and we can probably blame Philips for that with its Hue range of smartphone controllable bulbs. But times move on, and they’re no longer the only game in town, and nor is Apple for that matter. Behold…

This Android & iOS Controlled Light Bulb kit lets you select a particular lamp bulb, and switch it on and off, and change the color with your smartphone or a small remote control unit.

The lights can be controlled from anywhere in the world if you hook up the optional WiFi box, which is powered by USB, at which point your smartphone becomes the master of these poor slaves, and you can drive anyone near the bulbs nuts with your on/off, color changing fever.

The bulbs come with 9 effects included on-board, including slow pulsing, rhythmic color changing, flashing etc etc, and you can also buy dimmable white bulbs for more intimate control. They come with free apps for the two platforms and you can pair multiple bulbs into zones. Think of the potential to annoy the cat!

The bulbs retail at $28.00 each and the WiFi controller is $35.00, and the remote controller is $25 (works over 2.4GHz).
