According to Wikipedia (which is always correct) turtles are “reptiles of the order Chelonii or Testudines characterised by a special bony or cartilaginous shell developed from their ribs that acts as a shield.” Also, according to legend, a select group of the specie has formed an elite four turtle, martial arts trained, vigilante group that live in the sewers of New York.
