If you have ever wondered what it would be like to be a killer whale, you now have the chance to experience a first-hand simulation. It may be a bit on the horrendously expensive side, but this Killer Whale Submarine looks like the ride of a lifetime. It will likely take a little bit of training to learn how to use it, but being in a two-person submarine is something I think few would want to pass up.
This has a watertight acrylic canopy which push and pull twin control levers that act as pectoral fins for rolls and dives. Dual foot pedals give you control over the 225 horsepower supercharged Rotax axial flow engine. Porpoising and skyhopping are now very real possibilities, alongside hydroplaning at 50 mph. Underwater, you can chug along at 25mph, so long as you are only about five feet deep as the integrated snorkel in the dorsal fin needs access to air. The cockpit of this machine has a speedometer, tachometer, pressure gauges, and an LCD that will show you live video from the dorsal fin’s built-in camera. Now for the part you’ve all been waiting for. It will cost you $100,000 to purchase one of these things, so I’d say it’s likely better to just pretend you’re a fish whilst swimming.
That may well be the best thing I've ever seen ever, I can imagine some very rich people having fun at the beach with the fin sticking out of the water.
Such an awesome machine.
