Blaze is a freeware program designed to help improve your Windows productivity by automating repetitive tasks. It also offers the same kind of application launch capability as my favourite Launchy, but goes a lot further in terms of power and features. For instance it has a ‘learning’ mode which monitors what you’re doing and pops up a window offering to complete a recurring task.
One of the examples is if you’re renaming a bunch of images from, say, CIMGxxx.jpg to vacation1x.jpg. After Blaze sees you do the alteration a few times, it will pop and ask if you want it to finish the job. It’s clever. And useful.
In practice I found it didn’t always work as advertised, but that may have been finger trouble on my behalf. Another really useful feature is the macro recorder, whereby you can create really useful macros for all sorts of task. Nice. Definitely worth a download.
Blaze is an innovative utility designed to automate most of the unique recurrent tasks that arise from everyday usage. Such tasks can be launching applications, making small calculations, sending emails, inserting recurrent excerpts of text or even renaming files!
