The Bleep Labs Thingamagoop is a retro styled return to a time when men were men and The First Law was still an important part of our moral code. What does it do? Makes bleeping sounds of course. OK, so it’s light controlled and comes off sounding like R2D2 on crack, but hey, won’t someone think of the poor little transistors? From $69.99. And don’t forget to buy some earplugs for the cat.
The Thingamagoop is an awesome, little, light-controlled, analog synthesizer. Much like Raymond Scott’s Circle Machine (and if you don’t know who Raymond Scott is, shame on you), the Thingamagoop uses its LEDacle (an LED-tipped tentacle) to flash light (at different speeds) into its photocell. The photocell talks to the main oscillator and (with a little more technical stuff that we just won’t get into here), you get bilps and bleeps of pure electronic wonderment.
Square and triangle waves? A secondary photocell? A 1/4" ouput? I want one!
