There’s nothing particular cool about wireless speakers any more, since they’re been around for a fair amount of time. But what is news is the fact that speaker maker Pure has released a cool new technology which should really take the value of their Jongo wireless speakers to the next level.
The original Jongo speakers allowed up to 20 speakers to be connected together, meaning you could stream music pretty much all over your house. However the Bluetooth only worked with one speaker at a time, so if you wanted to move from room to room (say you were having some sort of lavish party, or maybe were just cleaning up) you would have to either listen to the Pure provided stations or change your settings every few steps to connect to a new speaker.
With Bluetooth Caskeid, you still hook up with one speaker but it will also send the same stream to all the other connected speakers simultaneously using a combination of Bluetooth and WiFi, so you can stream music from your phone or any streaming service like Pandora, Spotify etc throughout your home, garden, shed, tree house and whatever. This is great for anyone who is looking for a seamless audio experience and really optimizes the use of multiple speakers in a single home. The software is free with the speakers and also works alongside your Android and iOS smartphones. Jongo speakers start at £129.99.
