BOTTA Uno 24 Neo – keeping track of the day, one slow, lazy hour at a time

bottaunoneo24

We’re all too hung up on time. It’s a fact. We’ve tied ourselves up into so many tiny knots over time-keeping that we’re constantly struggling to meet all these mythical deadlines, and it’s doing our heads in. Who cares if we’re 4 minutes late here, or 7 minutes early there? Does it really matter? I’m pretty sure it doesn’t, which is why I’m loving this new innovative way of looking at time.

The BOTTA Uno 24 Neo comes at the whole time-keeping thing in a completely fresh way. Instead of two hands, the watch features only one single sweeping hand, which presents the day as a complete rotation around the dial. To tell the time is simplicity itself, just read off the number on the dial and the scale as well. Bingo, instant information.

It’s beautifully designed as well, with a stunningly elegant body, and a scratch resistant and anti reflective glass facia. The watch weighs just 43g, is water resistant to 3 ATM and comes with a 2 year warranty. Priced from €348.

  • I have this watch face on my Moto 360 and adore it. :)

    • Heh, I can see why. ;)

  • If you first want to practise reading a 24-hour analogue watch with zero expenditure, you might like this on your Android phone or tablet:

In addition to telling the time (with two hands) it also uses your location to calculate sunrise and sunset. The grey portion of the dial grows and shrinks with the seasons and shows when the sun is below the horizon where you are.
Get to grips with that and you’ll be ripe for buying a Botta one-hander.
