Breitling Emergency Watch – rescue signal on your wrist

Breitlingemergencywatch

The Breitling Emergency Watch. Forget about those fancy designer timepieces, this watch says more about your lifestyle than a dozen shaken Martinis ever will. Created for pilots and aircrew use, this snazzy device has a built-in microtransmitter which broadcasts on the 121.5 MHz aircraft emergency frequency. Following a mishap, the owner simply unscrews the protective cap and pulls out the antenna to set it off. Providing that they are still conscious of course. It offers a 48 hour broadcast time and range of 100 miles over flat terrain, which should be enough for most arduous rescue conditions. Priced at around $22,350.00.

  • If it’s the emergency feature you want, Breitling has another model with the same transmitter, for about one tenth the price: http://store.thefinestjewelry.com/breitling214.html (I found it as low as $3,125)

  • This is a great watch. The cost of $22k is for the full 18k gold version. They have steel and leather options that run $3500 – $4000

  • This is a stupid watch!!

Have you seen the bloke in the background? This watch is HUGE!!

    :¬)

  • Now you’re just being silly Bob, aren’t you? :-)

  • Tim – $3500 is very cheap….cough….isn’t it? :-)
