Bright Blocks – these illuminated non-LEGO products put a new spin on building

bright-blocks-build

First and foremost, these are not LEGOS but they look like them. the difference is that these interconnecting blacks can be lit up to create cool illuminated sculptures. Bright Blocks bring a little bit of shine to your blocky creations.

The blocks themselves don’t glow. They’re just normal, multicolored blocks until you put them on to the stand. The light will cause them all to shine, taking your not-LEGO creation from drab to fab with the flick of a switch. This set also works with other blocks of the same size (LEGO Duplex if you were wondering) to expand materials or create different effects.

The light stand is powered via AAA batteries or USB. There are four modes, always on, on for 15 minutes, or flashing or fading to give your own spin to what you’ve made. The sets come in either 36 or 102 blocks and are fun for anyone three years or older. Bright Blocks start at $30.
