The Bullet DVR is a tough tough tough video recording unit designed specially for motorsport use. Bolt this MPEG-4 puppy to your chassis, baby, and grab video, lap times and telemetry information to the Compact Flash card. You get instant playback on any PC and a bunch of data to prove that your Ford Escort is absolutely just as hot as you thought. Almost. Priced from $749.00.
Introducing the Bullet DVR system, a rugged and compact solid-state video recorder, designed for use under harsh conditions. Built for the abuse, it can withstand heavy vibrations and high G-forces, unlike regular camcorders. Fully mobile and portable, take it with you during your favorite extreme sports activities, and capture adrenaline-filled videos from a first-person point-of-view.
Even cooler is the MPEG-2 support in full resolution 720×480… But you can also do MPEG-4 if that suits you better, it is supported too ;)
I'm curious to know if you can find cameras which are able to be upgraded in resolution and if so if there's a DIY method to doing this? I've been scouring the net and I can't find too much regarding how to change the resolution manually other than maybe fooling around with contrast and brightness settings.
