Calming Sound and Light Effect Flashlight might soothe scattered nerves

If you have to walk down to the dark, dank basement, you’re likely going to take a flashlight with you. For some of us, this little adventure is not a fun one, as you have no idea what may be lurking in the dark. It’s quite similar to being a kid on a trip to the bathroom with no hallway light after reading a scary story. Your ears pick up every little sound, and things you once knew as furniture or a coat hanging up now comes off as if it were a monster.

While it is a silly idea, the Calming Sound and Light Effect Flashlight may calm the nerves of those who need something to take their minds off of the task at hand. It plays 7 soothing nature sounds, and has five different color options to choose from. The sounds will likely be very short and repetitive, but you can choose to hear the ocean, a gentle stream, the tropical forest, spring rain, a starry night (if that’s a sound?), wind chimes, or the north woods. Coming in at a whopping $4.50, I can’t see this as being an amazing buy, but for kids who are afraid of the dark and need a way to make nighttime a little less intimidating, this might be a useful tool.
