Camdapter is a hand strap for your SLR camera. One end of the strap runs through the eyelet on the top of the camera and the other goes through a camdapter plate that screws into the tripod lug. There’s also a second point on the plate to attach your normal neck strap.
The plate is designed to allow you access to the battery door and it duplicates the tripod lug so you can still bung the camera on the tripod without removing the strap. You can also get a Camdapter that fits into specific Manfrotto tripods. The Camdapter is compatible with every Nikon, Sony, and Canon dSLR as well as Pentax, Olympus, Konica and others. The straps comes in a range of materials including neoprene, leather and prices start at US$30 for the basic model.
Like other camera hand straps, the Camdapter Hand Strap System allows you to more easily hold and steady your camera with just one hand. But unlike most other hand straps out there, the Camdapter System allows you to easily use both your tripod and your neck strap, and it also allows convenient access to your battery compartment, without having to install a battery grip.
