I’ve just got to mention that this Canon 5D II DSLR really looks as though it’s going to be a game changer in the digital photography market. Not necessarily because of that 21 megapixel resolution, impressive as it is, but really because of the amazing 1080 HD video it’s capable of shooting. It’s the combination of low low light and the wide range of lens options, see? Amazing stuff. At this price point it really looks unbeatable right now. Keep an eye on it…

@Gerry, I think it’s about choice. With that many megapixels you have a much greater choice about cropping and suchlike. I think. :-)
I can only hope that someday these features get trickled down to the much more affordable Rebel/kiss series.

Kinda funny how this camera can make an 8 gb memory card feel anemic.
I guess photography is the “killer app” nowadays; the driving force behind a whole host of hardware purchases.
