Bulletproof Whiteboard – this teacher plays no games

You just don’t know when someone is going to go buck wild with a weapon. Some may choose to hide at home and hope that no ill fate will ever befall them, but others want to take that chance. Although, that doesn’t mean you can’t be prepared. We’ve seen tons of bulletproof this and that in the past, but what about out teachers? They keep our kids safe, and should have protection too!

Sphericam captures your entire world

We all seem to have a fascination of recording the world around us. Each moment that passes will never come again, so we constantly take photos, video, and write down current events to make a long-standing log of everything we’ve seen and heard. However, even with this incessant memory-making, we can’t capture everything around us…or can we?

The Uppercup – hipsters everywhere may rejoice

You’re to the local coffee spot to grab the usual, and on your way out, a text rolls in. For those of us that are fine with typing in portrait mode, this is no biggie. One hand will deal with the phone, and the other can nurse your newly acquired caffeinated beverage. There are speed texters out there though that think anything aside from landscape mode simply won’t do.

Paper Straws – What’s the point?

We all get a “to-go” beverage every now and then. It’s not something we really give much thought to, but there are a lot of materials that go into the cups, lids, and straws that house your beverage. If this factoid bothers you, then there’s a way that you can help lessen your contribution to a landfill. It may be a tiny gesture, but these Paper Straws are both biodegradable and compostable. They have designs that were inspired by birch…

Spiritree will let you live on after you’re gone

When we die, we can’t really say what’s on the other side as we don’t know what’s there. While there are all sorts of views on what will happen, we all respect those who have passed on from the here and now. Some people choose cremation, giving their body to science, or a grave, but what if you could live on, even after you’re gone?

Lumio is a real page-turner

When you’re reading a book in the evenings, there comes a point where you need to turn on a light. If you love to read, you probably have a lamp near your bed, chairs, and any other spot that becomes a reading nest. Should your love of text-based knowledge be a tad on the excessive side, why not get a book that is also a light source?

PaleoBarefoots turn your feet into armored tanks

We don’t really have much use for wearing chainmail anymore. Long ago it protected great warriors against oncoming attacks, sometimes successfully, sometimes not. Today, this sort of protection is usually only worn for reenactments and LARPing. It has an attractive property to it though, and could be made as a jewelry of sorts. What about making it into a pair of shoes?

Invisible Bookend is all function and no form

When you’re looking for bookends, you want something that will be sturdy and sightly. The only problem is that they take up a little bit more space on the shelf. If you’re much more minimalistic with your belongings, then you probably want something that isn’t going to make much of a statement. If you had the option, would you go for something that looked like it wasn’t there at all?

Bubble Wrap Tie will make the workday a little less stressful

Sitting at an office desk surrounded by other people doing the exact same thing you’re doing can start to get at you after a while. The lack of invigorating things to do can make you a little stir crazy, so you need plenty of things to keep you occupied. Desk toys can only go so far, and sometimes you just need a little creativity to brighten your day.

Succulent Ornaments will bring your Christmas tree to life

There’s a good chance that the holiday decorations are already up and spreading that Christmas cheer in your living room. Everyone differs in how they decorate. Some use colored lights, tinsel, bells, or popcorn on a string. The list goes on and on. During this frigid season, it’s nice to have reminders of the seasons to come, but you don’t want to spoil the here and now.

Color Cones will add a little something special to your fireplace this season

If you’ve ever gotten to sit by a fire, you know how mesmerizing it can be to watch the flames. Things spark, pop, and it almost feels as if they’re dancing. You wouldn’t normally think of a fire as a form of entertainment, but with the right additions, it definitely could be!

App Calculator – the solar powered calculator that’s designed to look like a tablet app

You really know things are weird when life mimics art mimics tech. So someone creates a brilliant invention back in the day called a calculator, we love them, use them to bits and then along come alternatives in the shape of handheld computers, tablets and mobile phones with calculator apps, so we switch. All very reasonable.
