Catacombo Sound System makes sure your favorite music will always live on

There are some things that people are wildly passionate about. It can be art, stamp collecting, traveling, or pretty much anything. However, few things move you the way music can. Some people are so ecstatic about their favorite tunes that they never want to go a day or minute without hearing a melody. There are those who also believe that music shouldn’t just be a part of life, but beyond.

The Brain Cube adds a new element to an old favorite

Yes, we know about the Rubix Cube. It’s been around since the dinosaurs, and there are a bunch of different versions of them. Most all of them have some form of color coordination that help you know when the puzzle is “complete”. However, what if those hues were removed, and all you had to look at to figure things out were a series of mismatched curved lines?

Ugly Animated Christmas Sweater is amazingly terrible

While I have no idea when this became a “thing”, having an ugly Christmas sweater party has been more than popular as of late. There are all sorts of these terrible creations floating around, so much so that there is actually a market for them. During these parties, there’s normally a winner of owning the ugliest sweater. If you are scheduled to attend one of these types of parties, then you’ll likely want to have an edge to beat out…

Humanix iSAVE Electric Car looks after pedestrians, your bank balance and the planet

A bunch of wonderfully insane clever quirky chaps in Japan have come up with a solution to all our road traffic accident problems. The one where we regularly kill off the population of a small town every year through bad, unlucky or plain stupid driving mistakes. They’ve decided to ignore the high tech solutions like self-driving or radar equipped vehicles and instead have gone for the most basic, obvious solution of all. Genius or madmen?

Cocoon 1 is everything you need all rolled into one piece of furniture

There’s normally a room or corner in your living space that you label as “yours”. It’s nice to have a space to yourself. It is in this place which you can think about your deepest thoughts, and shut out the world around you, even though you can still see it. If you like this idea of confined space within space, then you’ll like what the folks at Micasa Lab in Zurich have thought up.

Baby Mop turns your baby into a Roomba

Having a baby means no time for a lot of things at the beginning. Showering is a rarity, microwaving meals is about as close to cooking a meal as you’ll get, and being able to clean the house is a laughable idea. You don’t exactly want to deal with a maid or another set of hands coming in the house, so why not get your baby to help you out?

Feel Seating System is a bed, it’s a chair, no….it’s Super Furniture!

While we do have our favorite sleeping positions, it’s not always comfortable to lay flat on your back. Sometimes you want to curl up and sleep in a blanket cocoon, or lay sprawled out. If you want a piece of furniture that is going to reflect your preferred way to relax, then a mattress isn’t always going to cut it.

Cork Shower Curtain doesn’t make sense

There are times that you come across an item that could either be a great idea, or a terrible one. There are all kinds of inventions in the world, and often times they are either one-purpose items, or merely for decorative purposes only. I stumbled across one such product, and while I am impressed at its recycled materials, its odd placement makes me question it.

BlackSocks Smarter Socks keeps your laundry organized

Not everyone is very good with laundry. Sorting colors, deciding on how much softener goes in with a load, and sorting socks can be a bit much if you’re not accustomed to doing it. It’s a common stereotype that guys are terrible with keeping their laundry sorted out, especially their socks. If you fall under this category, then you might want a little help keeping things in order.

50 Shades of Bacon – really?

OK, this has gone far enough peeps. We’ve seen the parodies, the videos, the musicals (there’s a musical right?) and no doubt there’s an upcoming movie starring Zooey Deschanel and Henry Winkler, but a bacon cookbook? Really? Fifty Shades of Bacon makes no pretence at haut cuisine either. We’re talking ‘how to boil an egg’ levels of artistry, wrapped up in a flavorful, benign and ever so safe for work format. Ketophiles, start your engines.

Natural Keyboard puts mother nature at your finger tips

What would you do if your keyboard was, “alive”? Not in the sense that it was going to haul back and bite you every time you tried to type, but that it was something that needed some form of nourishment every now and then. Most of us are probably hoping our keyboards aren’t alive already with all the cheesy poof crumbs, remnants of soda, and who knows what else living amongst those keys. Thankfully, what I’m talking about is much…

Pickle Flavored Candy Canes will remove all traces of that early holiday spirit

It hasn’t even hit Halloween yet, but people are already starting to put out Christmas decorations. While you want to slap them silly and make them apologize to Thanksgiving for overlooking it, there’s nothing you can do. Well, aside from a little festive prank that is.

Learning the Lessons of Flight AF447 – the problem with pilot errors and training

It was just after 2am on the 1st of June 2009 when Air France flight number AF447, an Airbus A330-200 with 228 people on board, suddenly went missing with no explanation. The authorities mounted a search as soon as they were aware of the problem, and within hours found wreckage that indicated the aircraft had crashed into the sea. However it was only after an intensive two year search of the sea bed that the flight recorders were found, and…
