The Third & Seventh – astonishing CGI short film

The Third & Seventh is an astonishing example of how far CGI (computer graphics) has come. The whole film is CGI. Yes all of it! Grab a cuppa and enjoy. [Via]  A FULL-CG animated piece that tries to illustrate architecture art across a photographic point of view where main subjects are already-built spaces. Sometimes in an abstract way. Sometimes surreal. Tags: the+third+and+seventh, video, cgi

15 to Fame – grab your 15 minutes of fame now, before it’s too late

15 to Fame is an interesting little take on Warhol’s claim that one day we’ll all be famous for 15 minutes. The site features a single YouTube video on the front page which anyone can use to show off their skillz and gain notoriety. Of course you’ll need to wait until the site gets a million visitors a day to really make it fly, but hey…stranger things have LOLCatz happened. [one hint guys: zero sign-up needed!]  15tofame is the best place…

ZAGGbox – the digital life media center

The ZAGGbox is a media box with enough tech smarts to fill a space shuttle. Not only will it record and store music, videos and photos, but it automatically transcodes all captured video into 2 formats, one for the TV and the other for your mobile phone or device. Clever eh? The unit will also stream your content wherever you want, a la Slingbox, and comes with an internal web server if that is your desire. There’s an iPhone client…

6Rounds – online meetings get some fun style glitter

They’re pitching 6Rounds as a ‘social webcam experience’, which basically means you get to watch each other with live video while indulging in games, social events or other online activities. Sharing the moment, see? I guess it’s a reasonable supposition, but you can’t help feeling that all this trendy social engagement would be so much more meaningful if you could just leave the house occasionally and become less remote and more in-yer-face. Anyway, interesting idea.  6rounds is a live meeting…
