Not all gadgets need to have an especially useful purpose in life. Sometimes they are manufactured and purchased for nothing more than our own amusement. Take, for instance, this Color Copying Chameleoon Lamp for instance. His name is Huey, if you were wondering.

This strange little lamp acts much as you would imagine. Place it on an object, and the light emitted matches the color of it. This is done with the cunning use of multi-color LEDs and a fancy optical sensor. Judging from the video below, it seems as though there is no end to the colors he can emit. Not too bad for a $30 toy.
