Debit cards, credit cards, gift cards, loyalty cards, membership cards… Augh! It’s reached the point where we have so many cards in our wallets and purses that we don’t have room for actual money or baby pictures. Wouldn’t it be cool if there was a way to have one card do the work of all those other cards? Hmmm. Funny that you should mention that.
The Coin Card is a nifty data storage device that functions like a credit card, but with a digital twist that cuts down on clutter. Using the mobile app, you can add, manage, and sync all your others cards so that the info is available on Coin when you want to make a purchase. Just press the button on Coin to shuffle through the stored data until you reach the card you want to use, and then swipe it just like a regular credit/debit card.
Also, with Coin, you don’t have to worry about accidentally leaving your card behind because it’s connected to your phone via Bluetooth. Move too far away from the card and it will send an alert message to let you know you forgot something.

With “swipe” do you mean pull the magnetic strip through a reader?
That system is already obsolete in Europe where we almost exclusively use the chip built in to a card.
Yes, I think it’s specifically geared towards the US market for that very reason.
And what store will allow you to use this device? By law, they must see you signature and every clerk in the USA will be suspicious of it. And what happens if someone does get a hold of it? Don’t get me wrong, sounds like a beautiful idea, but too many issues make this device a NO GO right now.
Brb buying one of those and going to steal peoples cards in expensive restaurants.
