Cooking Hacks – create your own geek toys on a whim

Cookinghacks2

Cooking Hacks may sound like a pathetic attempt to add some geek cred to Martha Stewart, but in fact it’s a neat little online portal and store chock full of electronic components for making your own ‘stuff’. Y’know, like robot servos, sensors, Arduino micro computer components…that sort of thing. If you’ve got the smarts and a bit of solder, you’ll be able to build just about anything. Almost.

There’s forums, tutorials, and a huge feeling of gung-ho about the whole site, which is good. Geeky freaky-ness is the future, and we welcome our jitterbot building overlords, yes we do.

What if we created a place for making electronics as common as cooking so that people could share these two passions with us? We accepted our own challenge and two years later Cooking Hacks is born! Cooking Hacks tries to spread the electronics to everyone by making it affordable, easy learning, fun and supported by a big Community. If you can cook, you can get into electronics and vice versa!
