Cool Leaf Touchscreen Keyboard features no physical keys

If you’ve ever watched Star Trek, you’ve no doubt noticed that their keyboards and such are all flat surfaces. This helps give it the futuristic look that we have come to appreciate over the years. With tablets, we can simulate that same look, for certain applications. However, if you’re looking for an actual keyboard like this, you’ve only got one option: the Cool Leaf keyboard.

This special keyboard uses a capacitative touch panel in lieu of physical keys. This is the same technologies used in many tablets and touchscreen phones. It also makes use of haptic feedback technology, which makes it vibrate slightly when a key is touched, so you know when a key has been pressed. I can’t say how useful it would be to actually type on, as opposed to a regular keyboard. On the bright side, it is much easier to clean, as it takes just a wipe to do so. The $320 price is enough to make sure that most people will happily stick to their trust old keyboards.
