This Cradlepoint CTR350 Travel Router is a rather cool way to carry your network around with you, no matter where you roam. Just plug in a standard USB 3G modem, and bingo you’ve got enough horsepower to connect up to 16 WiFi devices to the one SIM card. Clever stuff. Features a nice ‘failover’ feature too, which will automatically switch users from a wired to wireless network in the event of failure. $99.99.
The CTR350 Mobile Broadband Travel Router is a full-featured wireless 802.11b/g router developed to be a plug ‘n’ play solution. Simply connect an activated USB modem, plug in the CTR350 and turn the unit on. Within seconds you will have a secure WiFi network for up to 16 WiFi enabled devices. 3G ONLY.
huh?
how is this compact wifi router any different from apple's superb Airprort Express?
the cradlepoint seems to accept just a regular WAN enet input!
does redferret simply regurgitate press releases?
The Airport Express doesn't accept a 3G data card. The 350 is made so you can take your cellular data card, plug it in and serve a wireless network from your data card. The Express doesn't do that.
